SmokeFreePhoenix Every year thousands of people die from the effects of secondhand smoke. Led by the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Lung Association, the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association, and Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, Smoke-Free Arizona prohibits smoking in enclosed public places and places of employment.

SmokeFreePhoenix Arizona has officially snuffed out smoking in most indoor public places.

Those that need to light up can still do so in the privacy of their own homes -
plus on patios and in casinos, tobacco shops and in some hotel rooms.
But as of May 1, smoking will no longer be allowed inside most Arizona bars and restaurants.

But when Big Tobacco has the chance to support the most effective measures to mitigate the health consequences of smoking, it instead uses tricky tactics and spends millions to defeat them.
